Shame Rost game series lands on the PS3

Are you the owner of a PS3? Check. Do you play on and on? Check. Do you enjoy a good gaming experience with a gripping story and sublime gameplay? Check. See it represents very well - if you agree with these postulates. Then we have for some good news to tell you, look for inside.

The issue is whether a single version of the game series 'God of War', which lands on the PlayStation 3 soon. God of War 1 & 2 were in his time developed for PS2, and as you know, so kicking the newer PS3s out when attempting playback of PS2 games. Therefore, Sony now launched a pack, or 'God of War Collection', with the two old PS2 games and the brand new 'God of War 3 "for PS3.

Game series has gained fame and honor, and are among the most popular in the PlayStation universe. The fact is that the game is developed exclusively by Sony, and therefore only possible to play if you own a PS2/PS3. God of War 3 is already released for PS3, but this Collection edition is to say, only on the stairs. It is addressed especially to new PS3 owners who have not yet become acquainted with the first two games of the series.

God of War 1, 2 and 3 have all gained over 90% of MetaCritic.com which is a page that brings together all the English / American reviews of games, and calculates the average here. This means that all three games in the series has managed to get over 9 / 10 on average - impressive.

PS3 loses Linux support

Sony has today published an update to the firmware - version 3.21 - which removes the option to install other operating systems (OS's) on Playstation 3 This option has typically been used to install Linux on the popular gaming console.

If one accepts the update from Sony, all data on existing Linux installations on PS3 deleted - and can not be accessed again. The ability to create new Linux deployments are equivalent removed as you can not go back to the previous version of firmware.

If you are not installing the latest update from Sony, you lose the ability to access the PSN Store to play some new games and the latest Blu-ray releases.

The reason for this drastic action from Sony's side would be that a hacker has gained access to all parts of the PS3's hardware and software and thus have the opportunity to publish a three-party firmware - as seen for the Iphone, Wii and Xbox 360 - which enables Piracy of games. The attacker recommend all PS3 users that they are not installing the latest firmware - but that as a PS3 user, rather than waiting for his publication of an alternative firmware. The latest update affects only the "old" PS3s. PS3 Slim has never had the opportunity to install an "Other OS".

PS3 sheep free 3D update summer

Stays with you PlayStation 3 games console and dreaming of playing in 3D, then you're among the lucky. Sony confirmed for Friday morning that all versions of the console can be updated to show 3D Full HD (1080p) using a simple software update, which in all probability be sent out this summer, when the 3D flat screens are expected on the market.

Technically what happens is that Sony changes on the console, so the HDMI output adopts those parts of the HDMI 1.4 standard, which has to do 3D. This makes the console able to display two video streams in HD - a left and a right eye. It can only do so because of the powerful Cell processor in the console.

Sony's 3D technology is based on "active shutter" technology, which requires that the player, flat screen and 3D glasses talking. It thus require new television and a set of glasses if you are a Playstation owner will use 3D options.

What’s new in the Sony PS3 3.0 update?

Sony has finally released the PS3 3.0 Update for Playstation 3 users. This is just in time for the PlayStation 3 Slim 120 GB which was PS 3 3.0 update - Playstation 3 officially released in the US today. Go to System Updates from your XMB to download and install the PS3 3.0 update.

What’s new in the PS3 3.0 update?

Read below to see the list of new features in PS 3 3.0 firmware:

• XMB has been slightly redesigned
• The info board has been replaced with “What’s New”. It will come up as first thing when you start up your PS3, and will be updated regularly.
• The Playstation Store icon has been added in the Games section.
• There’s a video icon that will take you to the video section of the Playstation Store.
• There are sparkles bouncing on the background. If you don’t like the new look of the XMB, you can switch to the old classic look in the Theme section.
• Upper right hand section of the screen has avatar, friend icon and number of friends online, and a piece of mail if you have any messages waiting from any friends on the Playstation Network. Underneath that you have a ticker showing the latest news from the Playstation Network.
• Ability for developers to create dynamic themes. You’ll see a lot of these coming out in the Playstation Store in the next few months.
• A tremendous amount of free and premium avatars will be available through the Playstation Store.
