"Wake up and smell the coffee" is the message from Augen that launches 4 espresso and latte 2 tablets in the U.S. market.
Augen already have a cheap tablet in stores, namely Gentouch 78, launches his 6 tablets as a sort of coffee brands. With this marketing strategy further seeks to leave this unsaid - I simply do not understand the link between tablets and coffee, but maybe it's something with that "there must be something for everyone?"
The new collection - or should we call it tastes gallery? - Ranging from low-cost models starting at $ 200 and a deluxe edition for $ 600 Augen will obviously produce for more than discount market, which they so far, according to Engadget have not had much luck with.
The operating system is Android 2.2. But luxury edition, "Espresso Dobbio" may run both Ubunto and Android. Dobbioen has a 10.2 inch display with 1024 × 768 resolution, accelerometer, 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 CPU, and a 3 megapixel prospectively camera - and it comes with a dock with a keyboard, trackpad and a 160GB hard drive. One tablet and one netbook in one - it's actually a Kinder Eggs!
Other kuriøsiteter must include the "Espresso Company" which comes complete with a "magic pen" to be able to transfer handwritten notes (on paper mind you) to the "Company" screen. Exciting!
We look forward to seeing the coffee series hits the Danish market!
