Google announced partnership with Verizon, where will be iPhone?

Verizon may be the largest wireless company in the U.S., but it doesn’t have a killer phone. That may be one of the reasons it decided to join forces with Google to create some brand new additions for the Android armada.

There’s probably one question all iPhone users have asked themselves at some point or another: “When will I be able to switch carriers?” Maybe not all have asked this question, but many would be willing to make the switch to another carrier if there was an opportunity.

However, with today’s announcement of the Google and Verizon partnership to sell Android-based devices, will it somehow affect the chances of an iPhone coming to Verizon Wireless?

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Of course Apple would still jump at the chance to be available on the Verizon network. It’s all about increased marketshare, something that Verizon provides with an untapped userbase, and ultimately that means a lot more profit for Apple.

The fact that Verizon has also partnered with Google changes none of that.
