It appears the RIM's BlackBerry Bold smartphone is well liked over in Australia, as Australia’s Telstra award the BlackBerry Bold the coveted Blue Tick certification.
"The BlackBerry Bold is one of Australia's favourite smartphones. Now business people in regional areas can combine the benefits of wider coverage on the Next G™ network with the added functionality of a smartphone. Customers will be able to stay connected to their work and personal lives with real-time access to email, calendar, contacts and the web in more places across Australia," Mr Riley said.
Telstra’s Blue Tick recommends mobile phone for use in Metro, rural and regional areas. Telstra worked with Research In Motion to develop the software that will boost the BlackBerry Bold’s performance and coverage.
Apparently the Blue Tick award was given for the BlackBerry Bold’s awesome reception. Country wide group manager for Telstra, Brett Riley has said that existing BlackBerry Bold handset can upgrade software as of today and new customers can buy Blue Tick enabled devices as of August.
