Search become more musical with Google

Google rolling out a search feature that does just that by enabling you to search and more easily discover millions of songs, all via a simple Google web search. If you're searching for music, "time to result" is really "time to music." Now, when you enter a music-related query — like the name of a song, artist or album — your search results will include links to an audio preview of those songs provided by our music search partners MySpace (which just acquired iLike) or Lala. When you click the result you'll be able to listen to an audio preview of the song directly from one of those partners. For example, if I search for [21st century breakdown], the first results provide links to songs from Green Day's new album. MySpace and Lala also provide links to purchase the full song.

Add, Edit or Delete Labels In Blogger / BlogSpot Blogs

Your blog must be having more than one labels or categories, and when a visitor visits your blog from search engines like Google or Yahoo, then most probably he/she will land on a specific page/post of your blog.

And if the reader likes the post, he/she will definitely search for similar topics on the blog, and this is exactly where, labels and categories will help the visitor. But again, the number and names of the labels are very important.

May be, initially you would not have given enough importance to these labels. And now when you realized the importance, you may find tens and hundreds of posts in your blog with improper labels, which need to be edited, or you may even want to delete some of the labels you have already added, or you may want to add some new labels to your previous posts.

Blogger does help you to do this quite easily, but I still think that they should make it even more better !

Anyways here's how you can edit, add or delete labels in Blogger.

Log in to Blogger, in the Posting section, click on Edit Posts.

See the highlighted regions in the image above.

As soon as you click on Edit posts, you will see all posts written by you (select posts per page as 300 in the right corner of the page).

1. Now to delete any label, click on "Select All". Then in the drop down menu "Labels action", under "Remove label" option you will see the list of all labels, click on the one, you want to remove for ever.

2. To add a label, select all the posts, you want to add the label. Then in the drop down menu "Labels action", under "Apply label" option click on New label.... Finally enter the name of the new label.

3. And in case you want to edit a label, unfortunately there's no direct option given by Blogger.

So do this, firstly in the list of labels column, present at the left side of the page, click on the label you want to edit. Now only those posts are displayed which have this label. Now add a temporary label to these posts. Then delete the label, you want to edit. Now click on the temporary label in the labels list. Now add the new label. Then finally delete the temporary label.

And finally display important labels as a link list in a widget, or display all the labels as a flash widget in your blog.

How to Put AdSense into Your Blogger Header

Have you ever thought how great and clickable it would be to put your AdSense blocks into your header in your blog on blogger? not near it, not on the top of it or right next to it but in it!

For this you have to make some changes in the code (Don't Worry its quite easy)

Go to edit HTML and I hope you all know where it is and how to find it))) ok Find this part of code in your HTML:

<div id=’header-wrapper’>

<b:section class=’header’ id=’header’ maxwidgets=’2′ preferred=’yes’ showaddelement=’yes’>

Found it? now change lines in this code the way I’ve written in my example, other words, change maxwidgets for 3 and allow showaddelement and so on…

Check template–> Page elements and you should be able to see one page element in your header, if you have done everything correct.

Now you can easily insert there your HTML/JavaSript code that you have received from AdSense or just use Adsense widget in your blogger widgets menu, in two words now you are the king of AdSense on your Blogger.

The great work of developers is still undisputed, given also the enormous growth in recent months has passed 65,000 applications from August to 100,000 today. And you, what do you think? How many, of the 100,000 applications are really useful, and what exactly has changed from 65,000 ques'estate? Await your opinions in the comments.

"Windows 7 is antiquated technology" Word of Apple

You knew. The snow leopard was there, crouched, ready to deliver a fatal blow when the prey was passed. Prey, Windows 7Has arrived and the dreaded Irbis, AppleHas done so to promptly launch its digs to the poison.

«Windows 7 continues to be Windows, built on antiquated technology"Thundered Brian Croll, Vice President of Product Marketing Mac OS X, Adding that "because of the impossibility of update XP to Windows 7 directly, many users will have to change computers, and many will opt to buy a Mac».

Probably several things are true, but good Croll forgot to say that Snow Leopard remains Mac OS XNo more than an update of Leopard to be precise.

Anyway, the big shot Apple continued its flood of statements against Seven asserting that "is still too complex, too expensive and too unsafe in the update. Besides - Added the manager -- the system does not include basic applications such as those for the IM or photo management».

Perhaps not know that you were just Windows users to push Microsoft remove many unnecessary frills from its OS. Indeed, as pointed out Ashley Highfield (one who works on the upper floors of the company to Steve Ballmer) In an interview, "Windows 7 has been developed following all the advice came by the user. " Here, perhaps not everyone, but some do. We have to admit.

On the question of the innovations in the system, Highfield we took to respond to Brian Croll, saying that "Seven is a crucial turning point in the history of WindowsNot just a jumble of little use new features. Here, as you see, the statements could not be wasted pressures, but we understand them. Will also billionaires in dollars, but so 'guys, so' boys!

I use it for a long time on my pc fixed and I'm really fine. Graphics and performance improved compared to Vista, with superb graphics and ease of use. Basically, I think is the best compromise between the performance of XP and the graphics of Vista. Really a great operating system.

Finally a worthy successor to XP.

Novell cyber security research

According to allegations made by Novell in his research Threat Assessment. It was found that computer security is a topic not too much to heart the companies that participated in the survey.

Apparently the greater vulnerability in corporate networks comes from their endpoint devices or desktops, laptops, PDAs, smartphones, MP3 players, USB storage devices, etc.. The security holes come from various bad practices that most companies reiterated.

The first problem concerns the protection of data. About two-thirds of companies surveyed said they were not in any way to encrypt their data and not to make any control over the data being copied to and from devices endpoint staff.

The second reason for concern comes from Mobile devices. Mobile devices in fact, once you leave the corporate perimeter, in 90% of the cases are connected to wireless networks insecure, increasing the appeal of being corrupt and in turn infect the company network. According to data from Novell, the situation would be disastrous since that 76% of companies reported that they had no way to ensure the integrity of their mobile devices.

Or you can use the My Maps feature of Google Maps to create a collection of places you're planning to visit on your trip and then use Google Maps for mobile to access it from the road. You can also turn on the Google Latitude layer to see your friends' locations.

Google will include Twitter updates in their search results

RT @google: Tweets and updates and search!

Google now includes Twitter Tweets in its search results. According to Marissa Mayer (Vice President of Search Products and User Experience), She wrote that:
our goal is to create the most comprehensive, relevant and fast search in the world. In the past few years, an entirely new type of data has emerged — real-time updates like those on Twitter have appeared not only as a way for people to communicate their thoughts and feelings, but also as an interesting source of data about what is happening right now in regard to a particular topic.

Google said that they are very excited to announce that they have reached an agreement with Twitter to include their updates in their search results.

Marissa Mayer further said that:

We believe that our search results and user experience will greatly benefit from the inclusion of this up-to-the-minute data, and we look forward to having a product that showcases how tweets can make search better in the coming months. That way, the next time you search for something that can be aided by a real-time observation, say, snow conditions at your favorite ski resort, you'll find tweets from other users who are there and sharing the latest and greatest information. General Electric's Comments on Microwave Water

A 26-year old guy decided to have a cup of coffee.. He took a cup of water and put it in the microwave to heat it up (something that he had done numerous times before).

I am not sure how long he set the timer for, but he told me he wanted to bring the water to a boil. When the timer shut the oven off, he removed the cup from the oven. As he looked into the cup, he noted that the water was not boiling, but instantly the water in the cup 'blew-up' into his face.

The cup remained intact until he threw it out of his hand but all the water had flown out into his face due to the build up of energy. His whole face is blistered and he has 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face, which may leave scarring. He also may have lost partial sight in his left eye.. While at the hospital, the doctor who was attending to him stated that this is fairly common occurrence and water (alone) should never be heated in a microwave oven. If water is heated in this manner, something should be placed in the cup to diffuse the energy such as: a wooden stir stick, tea bag, etc. It is however a much safer choice to boil the water in a teakettle.

General Electric’s (GE) response:

Thanks for contacting us. I will be happy to assist you. The e-mail that you received is correct. Micro waved water and other liquids do not always bubble when they reach the boiling point. They can actually get superheated and not bubble at all. The superheated liquid will bubble up out of the cup when it is moved or when something like a spoon or teabag is put into it. To prevent this from happening and causing injury, do not heat any liquid for more than two minutes per cup. After heating, let the cup stand in the microwave for thirty seconds before moving it or adding anything into it.

Susan Boyle Sticks To Natural Look For New Album Cover

Susan Boyle's new album cover features the global superstar as you have seen her before--down-to-earth and natural.

Boyle's handlers are making sure that the "Hairy Angel's" appeal is not diluted by Hollywood gloss. On the cover of the 48-year-old's debut album I Dreamed A Dream, she appears in all her wrinkled glory.

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden said: "She needs to stay exactly as she is because that's the reason we love her. She just looks like anybody who could live on your street.

"The minute we turn her into a glamourpuss is when it's spoilt. For now we'll keep her exactly as she is because that's why we've all fallen in love with her."

Ironically, how she appears on the cover may make no difference. Her album, out November 23, has already topped Amazon's bestsellers list, with tens of thousands of copies sold as pre-orders. It is certain to go straight to the top of the Billboard chart.

I Dreamed A Dream tracklisting:

"Wild Horses"
"I Dreamed A Dream"
"Cry Me A River"
"How Great Thou Art"
"You'll See"
"Daydream Believer"
"Up To The Mountain"
"Amazing Grace"
"Who I Was Born To Be"
"Proud"
"The End Of The World"
"Silent"

Google Building Maker - more like a game than a tool

Google Yesterday announced the launch of Google Building Maker, a fun and simple (and crazy addictive, it turns out) tool for creating buildings for Google Earth.

Building Maker as a cross between Google Maps and a gigantic bin of building blocks. Basically, you pick a building and construct a model of it using aerial photos and simple 3D shapes – both of which Google provide. When you're done, Google take a look at your model. If it looks right, and if a better model doesn't already exist, Google add it to the 3D Buildings layer in Google Earth. You can make a whole building in a few minutes.

I am waiting for Mobile Phone Magazine from Google.

Building Maker early beta testers insist that Building Maker is more like a game than a tool. Check out this video to see Building Maker in action:

Take a Tour of Blackberry App World

BlackBerry App World Launched few months ago and got a good response from the blackberry lovers, though it still needs improvement but I think it is a great effort, now with Apple's App Store, and Nokia's Ovi; Blackberry users also have a platform from there they can find all the Blackberry apps. The selection of apps is good, but still no themes to be found. There is a good listing of both Top Free and Top Paid apps, as well as categories to browse through.

If you haven't checked it out yet, give it a shot. Check out the video for a run-through of all the features.

Anyways Thanks to CrackBerry :)

Nokia 6600i slide: Spec & Features

Nokia recently released the 6600 pair - the slide and the fold. The seemingly more popular sibling got an update and the 6600i slide will keep on cashing in. Slightly revamped, it brings a beefier camera and a new paintjob to boot. looking cool!!

Looks have changed just a bit and I honestly think they did it right. Because old Nokia 6600 had too much fat tummy :P

The consciously minimalist design of the original didn't leave much room for frills anyway.

Alright, the 6600i slide is a no-frills package overall, but don't go saying we didn't warn you. It's enjoyable and addictive.

30 Bad Ways to LinkBuilding

I know link building is very important for SEM. Most of the companies spend huge amount for Link Building, but they don't know how links Build and what are the methods which should be avoid while link building. Here are a few link buiding methods that may destroy your brand or get your site banned/penalized/filtered from major search engines like Google/Yahoo/ Microsoft's Bing and others..

Directories

  1. Submit your site to 200 cheesy paid directories (averaging $15 a pop) that send zero traffic and sell offtopic run-of-site links.

Forum Spam

Forums are one of the good source but some time it may harm your site. So avoid these things:

  1. List 100 Web sites in your signature file.
  2. Exclusively post only when you can add links to your sites in the post area.
  3. Post nothing but "me too" posts to build your post count. Use in combination with a link-rich signature file.
  4. Ask questions about who provides the best [WIDGET], where [WIDGET] is an item that you sell. From the same IP address create another forum account and answer your own question raving about how great your own site is.
  5. As a new member to various forums, ask the same question at 20 different forums on the same day.
  6. Post on forum threads that are years outdated exclusively to link to your semi-related website.
  7. Sign up for profiles on forums you never intend on commenting on.
Blog Spam

Blogs are the good source of diverting traffic but some time it badly effect your site and drops your PageRank from 5-6 to 2-3 or may be zero. Be careful while blogging and keep following steps in your mind:

  1. Instead of signing blog comments with your real name, sign them with spammy keywords.
  2. Start marketing your own site hard on your first blog comment. Add no value to the comment section. Mention nothing other than you recently posted on the same subject at _____ and everyone should read it. Carpet bomb dozens of blogs with this message.
  3. Say nothing unique or relevant to the post at hand. Make them assume an automated bot hit their comments.
  4. Better yet, use automated bots to hit their comments. List at least 30 links in each post. Try to see if you can hit any servers hard enough to make them crash.
  5. Send pings to everyone talking about a subject. In your aggregation post, state nothing of interest. Only state that other people are talking about the topic.
  6. Don't even link to any of the sites you are pinging. Send them pings from posts that do not even reference them.
Garbage Link Exchanges

Don't get crazy while link exchanging, mind it irrelevant back links will destroy you site's PR as well as traffic
  1. Send out link exchange requests mentioning PageRank.
  2. Send link exchange emails which look like an automated bot sent them (little or no customization, no personal names, etc.).
  3. Send link exchange requests to Matt Cutts, Tim Mayer, Tim Converse, Google, and Yahoo!.
  4. Get links from nearly-hidden sections of websites listing hundreds or thousands of off topic sites.
Spam People in Person

  1. Go to webmaster conferences and rave about how rich you are, and how your affiliates make millions doing nothing.
  2. Instead of asking people what their name is, ask what their URL is. As soon as you get their URL ask if they have linked to your site yet and if not, why not.
Be Persistant

  1. Send a webmaster an alert to every post you make on your website.
  2. Send a webmaster an email every single day asking for them to link to your website.
  3. Send references to your site to the same webmaster from dozens of different email accounts (you sly dog).
  4. If the above do not work to get you a free link, offer them $1 for their time. Increase your offer by a dollar each day until they give in.
Getting Links by Being a Jerk

  1. Emulate the RIAA. When in doubt, file a lawsuit against a 12-year-old girl. (Failing that, obtain bad press by any means necessary.)
  2. Steal content published by well known names. Strip out any attribution. Aggregate many popular channels and just wait for them to start talking about you.
  3. Send thousands of fake referrals at every top ranking Web site, guaranteeing larger boobs, a 14-inch penis (is that length or girth?), or millions of dollars in free, unclaimed money.
  4. Wear your URL on your t-shirt. Walk or drive your car while talking on a cell phone or reading a book. When you run into other people say "excuse you, jerk".
  5. Spill coffee on people or find creative ways to insult people to coax them into linking at your site.
  6. Sue other webmasters for deep linking to your site. Well, this is more "hilariously dumb" than it is a "bad linking practice".

Google announced partnership with Verizon, where will be iPhone?

Verizon may be the largest wireless company in the U.S., but it doesn’t have a killer phone. That may be one of the reasons it decided to join forces with Google to create some brand new additions for the Android armada.

There’s probably one question all iPhone users have asked themselves at some point or another: “When will I be able to switch carriers?” Maybe not all have asked this question, but many would be willing to make the switch to another carrier if there was an opportunity.

However, with today’s announcement of the Google and Verizon partnership to sell Android-based devices, will it somehow affect the chances of an iPhone coming to Verizon Wireless?

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Of course Apple would still jump at the chance to be available on the Verizon network. It’s all about increased marketshare, something that Verizon provides with an untapped userbase, and ultimately that means a lot more profit for Apple.

The fact that Verizon has also partnered with Google changes none of that.

10,000 Windows Live, Msn and Hotmail A/c Passwords Leaked

Microsoft Corp said that passwords belonging to some users of its Hotmail email service were exposed on an Internet site, but had since
been taken down.

The company did not say how many users were affected, but some reports suggested that passwords to more than 10,000 accounts were exposed.

The accounts are genuine and look like they are mostly Eurpean users who use the @hotmail.com, @msn.com and @live.com domains. More specifically the leaked accounts include usernames that begin with ar to bl.

The Hotmail security breach is an embarrassing blow to U.S. technology giant Microsoft.

If your a Windows Live user now might be a good time to go and change your password. Actually, it is good practice to regularly change your passwords.

The software company Microsoft said the exposure of the passwords was not a breach of any Microsoft servers.

Adobe CTO Kevin Lynch said that Flash performance on mobile was "not very good," and that video was "more like a slideshow than a video." He then demonstrated excellent new hardware acceleration for Flash Player 10.1 on mobile, as well as solid multitouch support.
