Apparently you cant actually “buy” any tracks from the store with this ol’ thing called “Money“. Forget Credit Cards, you’ll have to head on over to your nearest Nokia Store and BUY a whole new device, to get a voucher “free” with it. And then use the Pin Code thats on your “free” voucher to have access to a “few” tracks on the Music Store.

Yeah, I’m not kidding, thats the only way you can actually “buy” anything off the Nokia Music Store India, at this point.

So ummm…..how well does Nokia India think Music on the Store will “sell“, again ?

Anyways the interface is very nice + it’s fast. Uploaded a video and pic with no porblems. Great job Joe!

Note that the default setting for videos and pics seems to be ‘Everyone’. If you want more privacy, you will have to adjust on the site once you upload them.

PlayStation3 Slim NOT Available Soon

Amazon US has warned Sony about the shortage of new Playstation3 slim. New PS3 slim will be available in the market next month. As there is a chance of shortage the famous retailer is trying to limiting the sales to one unit per household.

Amazon wrote to Sony that;

“As you may know, the PlayStation 3 120 GB is in great demand, and there are shortages of this product across the US,”

“In an effort to provide as many customers as possible with the opportunity to purchase PlayStation 3 120 GB, we are limiting the total number of PlayStation 3 120 GB units that can be purchased. As a result, each household may only purchase one PlayStation 3 120 GB unit.”

Nokia launched 5230 and 5530 XpressMusic in India

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic's smaller successor, the 5530 XpressMusic, is all set to make its India landing in the not too distant future. The phone, which is set for a global launch by month end, might just see a simultaneous launch in India. The phone can be termed a scaled down, better looking version of the 5800 XpressMusic.

In addition to 5230, Nokia also announced 5530 XpressMusic for the Indian market. The phone sits nicely in between 5230 and 5800XM and brings a 2.9-inch display, 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, EDGE, microSD card slot, 3.5mm audio jack and customizable shortcuts on the home screen.

As for the price, the 5230 will sell for around Rs. 11,000 and 5530XM for around Rs. 14,000.

So, if you have been dying to buy the 5800 XpressMusic and would like to save some money on an equally capable, better looking (personal preferences!) device and do not mind the lack of 3G, you know what to do we guess? Having said that, as of now, we really do not have any inkling as to how this device would be priced vis-a-vis the 5800 XpressMusic.

RIM getting iPhone browser power for Blackberry

If anyone say that the BlackBerry web browser is the weak link in an otherwise solid package is to say that the sun rises in the east, or Philip Schofield is annoying: glaringly obvious. Boy Genius Report recently disclosed that RIM acquire Torch Mobile/ That’s set to change though, as RIM is planning to use Webkit to cram the net on to a BlackBerry screen, the same tech used in the iPhone.

Spokes person of Torch Mobile admits by saying it is now “focused on utilizing our WebKit-based mobile browser expertise to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the BlackBerry platform.”

Let me tell you little bit about Torch Mobile, the company that makes the Webkit fueled Iris mobile browser, and that can only mean on thing: speedy Webkit webpage rendering on your powerhouse push emailer, just like an iPhone.

Webkit is the engine currently used by a bunch of top-end smarpthones, including the iPhone, Palm Pre and Android blowers, so you know what to expect: perfect webpage lay out, and absolutely no chunks of text vanishing, as they’re prone to do now.

Whether by coincidence or not, the new comes just a week after word that RIM is priming a BlackBerry browser with Flash support for streaming videos. It sounds like the Canadian company has a complete overhaul planned, so expect the shonky BlackBerry browser to jump from the Before to After photo in the months to come. We can’t wait.

Convert your iPhone as you want...

Another of those simple, elegant and downright useful apps for iPhone – Convert. I’m busy doing a lot of household chores right now with trips to IKEA meaning I have become quite familiar with their meatballs of late. This is the perfect app for all those pesky conversions. Likewise I was just checking specs on the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS (dream) and they’re in Kmh. No worries, there’s an app for that. It’s called Convert.

Is BlackBerry Bold Gets Visual Voicemail?

Visual Voicemail is an interesting feature for mobile, currently it is available on iPhone but Most of the people thinks that it is only for iPhone. But Visual Voicemail not an iPhone only feature, because a company called Klausner has the patents on it and licenses it to Apple and others. Which is a good thing as Visual Voicemail is a great feature and I would not want to miss it again.

According to BoyGeniusReport reports that AT&T will update the BlackBerry Bold on Tuesday to enable Visual Voicemail on this BlackBerry smartphone. It further says that one would be able to already get AT&T enable the feature before Tuesday.

The Visual Voicemail for BlackBerry is supposed to offer 40 voicemails for up to 14 days storage, Forward voicemails as an MMS and archive voicemails to device memory or on a microSD

I can't wait to have it, do you?

Court gives favor to Liskula Cohen against Google

Mashable reported that Liskula Cohen a Canadian-born model, best known for her appearances in fashion magazines such as Vogue, Elle, and Cleo. When she discovered that a blog called Skanks in NYC, hosted on Google’s Blogger, had been referring to her as “skank” and “old hag,” she decided to press Google (Google) to reveal the identity of the blogger through court, and the court has now decided in her favor.

One quote is enough to show the nature of the blog: “How old is this skank? 40 something? She’s a psychotic, lying, whoring, still going to clubs at her age, skank.” However, the blogger’s lawyer argued that these comments are his opinions and hyperbole – trash talk, if you will – but Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Joan Madden decided that “the thrust of the blog is that [Cohen] is a sexually promiscuous woman,” and that Cohen is entitled to sue the blogger for defamation.

On the upside, this decision will make people think twice about posting offensive posts and comments about someone, as they’re no longer protected by a shroud of anonymity. On the other hand, it might trigger a flood of similar lawsuits, perhaps for trivial reasons, which can in turn have serious implications on everyone’s online privacy.

This also means that Google will have to reveal the identity of the blogger in question; an important move that will set a precedent for future cases such as this one. The blogger in question has, without a doubt, been very offensive towards Cohen, as can be seen in the above quote. However, as we all know, the internet is full of offensive comments and broad negative statements of all kinds.

Unboxing PlayStation 3 Slim

Hey good news that the PlayStation 3 Slim is now official in-house, and it's a matte-laden beaut. Enough chitchat -- live vicariously through our unboxing and hands-on pics below!

The buttons in the front are now physical and actually "click" in to function. The PS logo above the disc drive does not rotate for vertical use, and yes, the hard drive is swappable -- as you can see from the pictures, there's a screw on the bottom, hidden by a panel, that lets you take off part of the front for access. We've also lined it up against our standard, fatty PS3, and we gotta say, it's noticeably lighter.

BlackBerry 9700 coming to AT&T, Bell

All Blackberry lovers I have a great news for you , there are different rumors that Blackberry 9700 is coming to AT&T and bell. This news was announced by BGR and Crackberry. Here I am putting a pair of images of inventory screens from wireless provider AT&T and Canadian provider Bell reveal the BlackBerry Bold 9700 will arrive soon at either. The Bell leak is especially important as it hints that Bell is nearing the activation of its HSPA network, with the Bold 9700 becoming one of the first HSPA-capable 3G phones. Despite the inventory screens, launch dates for the 9700 at either provider remain unknown, as does the pricing.

The near simultaneous appearance of the 9700 at AT&T and Bell is also appropriate given recent deals, as Bell's HSPA network will allow roaming on AT&T networks as well as the opposite. The Bell HSPA network is also expected to come out sometime in the fall, which should coincide with the Bold 9700 release date.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is also due at T-Mobile in the near future. The device should be the second BlackBerry to use an optical trackpad rather than a ball, and the phone is expected to include Wi-Fi support, BlackBerry OS 5.0, along with GPS, a 3.2-megapixel camera, and a 480x360 display.

Video: BlackBerry Storm 2 (9550)

If you’re a ‘Storm Chaser’, this video is a must watch. Sure, it looks like the unit being reviewed sports an outdated OS and has no WiFi… But I’m guessing RIM is pretty tight with their development/test units. I have no idea how Salomondrin manages to get his hands on these pre-release units, but I certainly hope he keeps on, keepin’ on.
Cheers!!

White BlackBerry Bold Coming Soon?

As Apple launched White iPhone. It looks like RIM might be getting ready to release a white BlackBerry Bold soon, according to some images sent to BGR.

The advanced wireless testing facilities at Canadian school York University is apparently now being used by Telus and WIND to test new RIM devices. A professor involved with these tests was able to snag one of the white Bolds and took a few pics. BGR leaked these pictures.

What do you think? Would you get the white version of the BlackBerry Bold? I think white version will become more popular for females. Anyways I am waiting for it because I love this white Blackberry :)

Text Messages disappeared from my Blackberry

I am posting about a problem I was facing with my Blackberry. After a few months of spending nearly every waking minute on your Blackberry device, there will come a time where you will open up your message folder and realize that they have all disappeared. When that happens, you're probably thinking, "Whathe heck?! Where did all my text messages go? That's it, I'm getting an iPhone!"

I was really worried about my text messages, where they gone? I don't know I'll be able to get back or not? Then my problem got solved and I found the solution. Don't worry though! That is a normal feature that is built into Blackberrys to help clear up some memory. There's a few things you can do to resolve that issue and even prevent it from happening again.

The Battery Pull
The best way to clear up your memory is by doing a battery pull. All you have to do is take the back off the phone, remove the battery for a few seconds, then place it back in the phone. This clears out all the gunk that has accumulated since the last time you've done it, and will prevent your phone from automatically deleting messages. If you haven't had a chance to check out QuickPull yet, check out this REVIEW of it. It's a great app that will really help with the text message deletion problem.

The Memory Card Option
Doing a battery pull is only a temporary fix of the problem. The best thing you can do is start to funnel all your pictures, videos, voice recordings, etc, to a memory card. The reason your phone will delete your messages is because it is running low on memory. It clears them all out so you will have the memory to run other applications. The best solution to prevent this from happening any further is to purchase a memory card if you don't have one already and setting up your phone to automatically save all the pictures, videos, voice notes, etc, to that memory card. This will keep your phone's memory clear as the day is long for all those tons of text messages and emails you get throughout the day. If you've already have a lot of pictures and stuff saved to your phone, move them to a memory card or delete the ones you don't want, do a battery pull, and you'll be good to go.

If you follow these simple steps, your phone will no longer delete your text messages, and you won't be tempted to leave your precious Blackberry for that "other" phone. Feel free to share any other tips you may have in the comment section!

Recognize the Google Chrome icon

Most of the people don't know about icon of Chrome a browser by Google. You can check them out here. I much prefer the commercials the pros made for Google. But there are a few gems. Below are three of my favorites. (What’s with Japan and its love of Transformers, by the way?)

Apple will launch iPhone 3GS 8GB soon?

Many unconfirmed reports says that Apple launching iPhone 3GS 8GB soon, apparently it seems that Rogers in Canada is in the process of shipping iPhone 3GS 8GB flavor handsets to stores. Again, unconfirmed, no idea on pricing (we have no clue where to start on that) this is what Boy Genius Report reported on his blog but they felt it was newsworthy to at least let you guys know what they’re hearing. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Maybe the iPhone 3G stock is finally sold out and Apple will quietly (or not quietly) replace the $99 model iPhone with an 8GB 3GS?

Added screenshots. Definitely looks legit to us! One more shot after the breakage.

Samsung's WinMo-powered Omnia II

Samsung's WinMo-powered Omnia II a time or two before, but this looks to be the first instance of it waltzing in front of a camera after leaving its retail packaging. Not much seems to have changed from those pre-release versions we peeked, and we have to say, that 3.7-inch AMOLED display looks awfully inviting. Of course, you'll have a hard time procuring one of these critters here in North America without a solid importer over in Singapore, but if you can somehow steal some patience from underneath that couch cushion, you'll be just fine. Give the read link some love for a few more high-res shots.

BlackBerry 8520 unboxing video

A lucky Walmart shopper scored an early BlackBerry 8520 which is slated for an official release that T-Mobile's newest BlackBerry ahead of the August 5th street date. The main benefit to this new BlackBerry is the removal of the grease trap — aka trackball — in exchange for the first ever BlackBerry trackpad. Don’t be fooled by the looks on this device – you’ll be stepping down to a 2 MP camera which is great if blurry photography is your hobby. That low resolution simply seems quaint in this day of 3.2 MP camera. Watch for this to become a freebie extremely quickly.

Jump on past the break for an unboxing video, and afterwards, feel free to call your nearest five Wally Worlds until you find one ready and willing to take your $48.88 (on contract).
